About
Morn Robson
Morn Robson is a Cornwall-based painter specialising in oils while also enjoying working with watercolour and acrylic. Her paintings explore a wide range of subjects, but she returns again and again to the beautiful Cornish coastline and flowers gathered from her garden.
Inspired by the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists, particularly Monet and Cezanne, Morn is interested in capturing the feeling and individual energy of a place rather than creating an exact likeness. Her approach allows colour, light and atmosphere to take centre stage.
Paint is applied quickly and intuitively, often using a palette knife to build layers of texture and movement. Careful choices of colour bring a joyful, light-filled quality to her work, from sweeping coastal scenes to vibrant studies of flowers and still life.
Morn’s paintings celebrate the landscapes and everyday natural beauty that continually inspire her. Each piece offers her own response to a particular moment, place or subject, translated through expressive colour, texture and energetic mark-making.
